Key Steps To Budget / Save Money

by Disney Blogger

There are many things you can do to save money at Walt Disney World !

Free Cups of Water ($0.00)

Disney gives out free water to all guests that ask for " a free cup of water". So on a hot summers day or if you are just plain thirsty stop by any quick service restaurant and grab yourself a nice cold drink.

Free Sodas at Club Cool ($0.00)

Yes the sodas at Epcots "Club Cool" are all free, and the sodas are from different countries around the world. you can drink as many samples as you want till your hearts content.

Free Trading Cards ($0.00)

This is actually one of my favorite freebies as I too used to collect cards as a child. All you have to do to get this freebie is ask a transportation cast member for a free trading card, or you can also go to Magic Kingdoms Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game / attraction and get a free pack of 5 cards. There are 60 different cards in total, and each player can get one pack a day.

Free Drawing Classes ($0.00)

This is a must do at Walt Disney World. At the Art of Animation Resort, guests and even non-guests can go take a free art class from Thursday to Monday at 11AM, 2PM , and 5PM !

Free Transportation to and from the Airport ($0.00)

Disney World is the only park that I know that does this for you. If you are staying at one of Disney Worlds Resorts, they will have transportation come to pick you and your family up from the airport, and will even take care of your specially marked luggage for you !

Free Movies Under the Stars ($0.00)

At many of the Disney World Resorts, they give a free night screening of Disney and Pixar movies under the stars projected on a big screen, just ask your resort for the scheduled times.

Free Transportation to Hotels/Parks from Hotels/Parks ($0.00)

If you are going from hotel to hotel or park to park or park to hotel, I think you get the point. Disney will provide all of the transportation you need to get around the campus for free. All you have to do is ask a Disney Cast member where to go.

Free Pilot/Drivers License ($0.00)

Yes, you can get licensed to drive at Walt Disney World no matter your experience or your age. Disney is sort of a rogue statethat doesn't answer to a governement except the RCID and the State of Florida and the federal government. To get these licenses go to the speedway at Disney Worlds Magic kingdom or Dumbo attraction and they have licensed cards they will give to kids and adults.

Free Buttons ($0.00)

If you are celebrating an anniversary, birthday, or first time visitor, there is a free button for that. You can get these buttons as soon as you arrive in the parks, and cast members will usually recognize your celebration.

Free Desserts at Disney Restaurants ($0.00)

If you are celebrating a special occasion while dining at one of Disney Worlds restaurants, just let your waiter know and they will provide you with either a free dessert or a toast of champagne.

Free Wake Up Calls By A Disney Character ($0.00)

Okay, you don't really save any money with this one, but it's still a pretty cool perk of staying at a Disney World Resort. Guests can get a wake up call from Mickey or Stitch on their hotel phones !

Pack and Bring Your Own Food ($depends on how much you spend at store)

Although this isn't entirely free, it will be less expensive then paying for food at Walt Disney World. Disney allows you to bring your own food into the parks, this is also good if you have family members with specific allergies, although Disney does a pretty good job addressing that at there restaurants.

Set Up Your Free Fast Pass ($0.00)

All guests at Disney World gets 3 free Fast passes they can setup to save time, and allow them to move quicker through the long lines at Disney World, and then after those three are all used up, guests get an additional Fast pass, and so on. Setting up your families fast pass is essential to saving time at Disney World !

Bring Your Own Stroller ($0.00)

A stroller at Disney costs about $15 a day. So if you are on a vacation for 4 days that's $60 that could've been used for anything else.

Go To Disney Before Your Child Turns 3 ($0.00)

Yes your child at the age of 2 and under gets in for free, so that's one extra ticket you don't have to buy !
